Story #1. Waking Up

As the needle entered her vain, the light slipped from the room and was replaced by darkness.
Lying down on a table, Jade found herself unable to move. Her entire body felt weighted down, as if gravity's pull had been multiplied. Her scrawny body covered only by a loosely fitting t-shirt that hung over her right shoulder and shorts that cut off at her thighs, much of her body was left exposed to the cold metallic touch of the table.
"Why am I here?", Jade thought to herself. She knew there was a reason for her current situation, but couldn't for the life of her remember what it was. Despite the lack of a light source within the room, Jade could clearly make out the image of her body reflecting back off of the ceiling as if she were looking into a mirror. Before she had time to contemplate the ridiculousness of the situation, several figures approached her spot on the table. The figures were dressed in blue aprons and wore white surgical masks that reminded Jade of a hospital. With their faces hidden behind the masks, it took Jade several seconds to recognize her parents.
In their hands, her father held a leather pouch filled with numerous surgical tools whose purpose were foreign to Jade. Jade found her self too nervous to speak, instead letting out a high pitched whine from between her lips.
"Don't fret, this won't hurt a bit honey," her father assured her. Her mother nodded in agreement.
Sure that her mind was playing tricks on her, Jade closed her eyes for several minutes hoping to regain her composure. Yet, while her eyes remained closed, she felt a hand gently caress her long black hair. Startled, she reopened her eyelids to discover that her reflection in the mirror had been altered. Her hair was no longer the jet black color she had dyed it. Instead, it had shifted back to the natural dirty blonde color that Jade despised. Though her parent's lips were hidden beneath the surgical masks, their eyes informed her that they were both smiling.
"See now, this look is much suits you much better than that awful artificial coloring," lectured her mother.
"Yes, it makes you look more approachable and friendly" added her father. As he spoke to her, he reached into the pouch they had brought and pulled out a pair of pliers.
"This part may sting a little," Jades mom warned her. "But a little pain is better than leaving that ugly piece of metal in your nose."
Her dad reached forward and grasped her horseshoe shaped nose ring firmly with the pliers. Without the slightest hint of sympathy, he proceeded to yank at the jewelery with his full force. The little piece of metal ripped straight through the cartilage of Jade's nostrils, with blood gushing out after it.
Oddly though, Jade felt no pain from the new wound on her face. Like her parents had predicted, Jade only felt an odd tingling sensation on the tip of her nose. However, seeing her bloody image in the mirror, she let out a scream that filled the entire room.
"Now, now sweety. This is nothing to get upset over. Were only trying to help you become a more respectable person," her dad comforted her.
"Speaking of which, we need to do something about the way you've learned to dress yourself. You don't come across as very presentable, dressed like a skank." As she spoke, her mother pried open Jade's mouth and force fed her a small capsule filled with a neon purple liquid. To make sure that she could not spit the pill out, her mother gently messaged Jade's throat, forcing the pill down into her stomach. Almost instantaneously, Jade's shorts began to grow in length until they reached her ankles, while her t-shirt morphed into an expensive kashmir sweater. Inspecting her reflection in the mirror, Jade judged her new outfit much less provocative than her previous attire.
"Don't you look gorgeous dressed nice and proper?" her mom questioned Jade in a condescending tone.
"She sure does" her dad answered for her. "But she still seems a bit skinny to me. Have you quit eating while you were away at college?"
Jade attempted to answer her father's accusatory words but could only muster a muffled whimper. A bit of drool escaped the side of Jade's mouth and trickled down her left cheek. Embarrassed and frustrated, tears formed in the corner of her eyes. A voice, belonging neither to her mother or father, then spoke.
"She's been eating plenty. Haven't you Jade? She actually put on weight during first semester." Jade struggled to turn her head towards the approaching voice. Upon finding her close friend Amy and her boyfriend Todd next to her, she collapsed from shock. When she awoke, several minutes later, she found the group of people surrounding her engaged in a passionate argument.
"Why should the tattoo be removed from her shoulder? What she really needs is to have her excess stomach fat drained. No guy likes a chubby gut on his girl." Clearly annoyed by her remark, Todd turned to Amy.
"Shut up Amy. She's plenty skinny. Like her father said, if anything she needs to put some meat on her bones." Todd snatched a tool from the leather pouch that reminded Jade of a pizza cutter. Too numb too feel any pain, Jade watched calmly as Todd pulled off her sweater and slit open a foot long gash in her stomach. A plate stacked with raw steaks, ribs, hamburgers and various other meats materialized in Todd's free hand. He and Jade's father then took turns stuffing her wounded stomached full of un-cooked beef and pork. Through her reflection in the ceiling, Jade watched in horror as she was slowly fattened up by her boyfriend and father.
When they had added a solid ten pounds of weight to Jade's body, Jane's father stitched shut her stomach, cleaned the wound and then redressed her in the kashmir sweater. That's when Amy noticed the scar where Jade's nose ring had been.
"What the fuck did you guys do with her nose ring?" Amy demanded. Jade's father pointed to the small metal horseshoe lying on a tray next to pouch of tools.
By this time, Jade was slowly gaining her strength back. The numbness that had encompassed her body was gradually fading away. Though she was still too groggy to move the limbs of her body, her lips were finally able to form the words her mind wanted to speak.
"Who cares... about... the nose ring? I only had... it put in because you were getting... you tounge pierced." Jade found she was gaining strength from her words. "Can't you just let me be? I'm tired of molding myself to fit the ideals of the people around me."
As she spoke, Jane found that the faces in front of her were growing blurry. Suddenly, the four bodies around her were floating, swirling around one another in a circle. And then Jade was opening her eyes and the images of her parents and friends had merged into only one surgeon in a blue apron. This new figure patted her on the head, telling her that "the amnesiac will have you groggy for a bit" and urged her to go back to sleep. As she rested her neck on the soft down pillow supplied to her by the hospital, the doctor brought a mirror over to Jade.
"Won't your boyfriend be happy to see that his girlfriend now has size C breasts?" asked the plastic surgeon.
